Brygghuset på Sanna gård

History

The refurbishment of the cottage was extensive, resulting in having to demolish some of the original building in order to create the cottage that it is today. However, we managed to preserve the old stone foundation, as well as the original large masonry fireplace on the ground floor. We wanted to preserve as much of the history of the building as possible, whilst trying to create a modern but extremely comfortable holiday home

The material and design of the external elements of the cottage were chosen with great care so that original parts of the building would blend in with the newer parts and that the whole structure would harmonize with the surrounding environment. We also chose to preserve the traditional building style that symbolizes our particular region of Sweden and in keeping with this, the facade was made out of wood and painted red with white corners and windows that really compliment the newly refurbished cottage.
