Brygghuset/Bykehuset- In English means Brewing House, and is the name of the cottage's previous use
Brygghuset Cottage had been used as storage for the farms mowers, ploughs and other farming equipment. However, in the 1930's, 40's and 50's, the cottage was used as a wash house where clothes and bed linen were washed in two large wood-fired tubs. But since then, the cottage has had more uses and in the 1970's and 80's we used the cottage as storage for potatoes which were grown on the farm.
In 2007 the role of the cottage changed again, when we decided to refurbish the whole building to an extremely high standard to provide the perfect holiday home for everyone to enjoy.
